At the turn of the century, Therese was introduced to sustainable living and became convinced that we have to cherish and guard that which was entrusted to our care. She questioned and challenged her environmental impact & what was healthy and good for her, without compromising future resources.
"One of these changes was that I started making my own skincare products with natural ingredients in 2006. If I think back now I can remember the amazement to use natural oils and butters for my skin."
Another important aspect of living sustainably was proactively pursuing wholistic vitality rather than focussing on problems. I moved away from concerning myself with skin problems, rather focussing on the goodness that I want for my skin. This led to combining natural ingredients giving my skin the nourishment, protection and hydration it needs.
Therese started experimenting with sourcing natural ingredients, ethically farmed, and making her own creams.
"I wanted to share the deep satisfaction of knowing that the products I use are not only good for me, but good for my community and my environment - and so Goedheid was born..."
